Juliana Penteado

Calçada da Estrela 5 | São Bento

In São Paulo, she studied nutrition and then gastronomy. She moved to London, where she studied at Le Cordon Bleu, lived in Paris and later chose Lisbon as her destination. She was at Bistro 100 Maneiras before crossing Portugal from north to south to get to know the traditional sweets, when she had a kind of revelation about what to do next: open a store with desserts that are as fragrant and tasty as they are beautiful – a few drops of organic essential oils, made specifically for culinary use, give an unusual flavour to this Brazilian pastry chef's weekly specials.

Insider tip. Juliana Penteado's sweets are not very sweet – a personal touch of the chef, who likes to emphasise the more natural flavour of the ingredients.
