Gunpowder


Harneet Baweja opened the first Gunpowder in London in 2015. At the end of 2022, he extended the project to Lisbon, given the close and historic relationship between Indian gastronomy and Portugal. A set of regional and family recipes is given a contemporary twist to create unique flavours; products are respected, and local ingredients such as meat, fish and seafood are paramount. Examples include Algarve oysters with curry and pickles, Alentejo pork sautéed and glazed with tamarind or Atlantic croaker with Coorgi sauce.


Insider tip. The Gunpowder has a private room with a table for 8, perfect for group dinners.
