Garrincha

On a street perpendicular to Rua Morais Soares, where once stood Solar dos Mouros, Israeli chef Adam Denis has opened a restaurant with simple yet refined cuisine. The menu, with Arabic and Mediterranean influences, features fish and vegetarian dishes, with innovative creations such as the sardine éclair or the matbucha, a tomato, pepper and chilli paste full of flavour which, spread on bread, makes the perfect starter. For dessert, don’t miss out on the Layaly Beirut, made with cherry seed cream, orange blossom chantilly, labneh ice cream and salted butter crumble. The atmosphere is unpretentious, and the quality of the ingredients is exquisite.

Insider tip. The menu varies daily, depending on what the chef finds at the market.
