The Palácio Ludovice Wine Experience Hotel sits right in front of the São Pedro de Alcântara viewpoint, where you have one of the city's best panoramic views. Built at the beginning of the 18th century by João Frederico Ludovice, the imposing building included a majestic staircase and a chapel with Masonic symbols and inscriptions in Hebrew. It has since been restored by architect Miguel Câncio Martins, with great care taken to restore the tiles and frescoes on the ceiling, and transformed into a beautiful and elegant hotel with 61 rooms and suites, a spa with Caudalie products, and the Federico restaurant.
